Information We Collect

When you use Dyslexia Evaluation, we collect the following types of information:

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and stored on secure servers. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.

How we handle your child's voice recordings

When your child completes the screening, the microphone on your device records them reading letters, sounds, and short passages. To score the screening, these recordings are analyzed by a third-party AI service, which compares each response against what the child was asked to read and returns a score.

We do not save your child's voice recordings. They are used only to score the screening and are not stored on our servers afterward.

We never sell voice recordings, and we never share them with advertisers or use them for any purpose other than scoring your child's screening.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Dyslexia Evaluation:

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them if you have questions about how they handle data.

Children's Privacy and COPPA

Dyslexia Evaluation is designed to be administered by a parent or guardian. The screening is set up, paid for, and initiated by an adult. We require verifiable parental consent before collecting any information from a child, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA, 16 CFR Part 312).

The only information we collect from the child directly is audio recordings of them reading the items presented during the screening. We handle those recordings as described in the “How we handle your child's voice recordings” section above. We do not collect children's names, email addresses, social media identifiers, or other contact information.

Parents have the right, at any time, to review any information we have collected from their child, request that we delete it, or refuse to allow further collection by discontinuing use of the screening. To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected].

Your Rights

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data, including assessment results, reports, and any associated audio recordings. To request data deletion, contact us at [email protected].

We will respond to deletion requests within 30 days.

Cookies

Dyslexia Evaluation uses minimal cookies for session management and staging authentication only. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to check this page periodically for the latest version.
